In 1912 the most important Art Nouveau buildings in Palić were opened. On this occasion, a memorial fountain on the lake shore aslo had its opening. It was built in the same style, with three female figures, and three inscriptions: a brief history of the lake, praise to the mayor Karolj Biro, and the verses of the great poet Deže Kostolanjija.
